Occupational Therapist- PRN Mckinney, TX

Independent Contractor Occupational Therapist (OT) Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the patient’s functional status and physical therapy needs. Assists the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care.
• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by the state board of occupational therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the health care team.
• Treats patients to relieve pain, restore function, and / or maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice.
• Instructs and informs participating members of the health care team, the patient, and the family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
• Visits patients according to Plan of Care, completes progress notes timely.
• Provides supervision of OTA’s
• Participates in discharge planning for patient.

Position Qualifications:

• Must be currently licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the STATE OF TEXAS
• Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Proficient in using mobile apps for organizational purposes
